Anna Albu
Head of Private Equity Finance and AI, Aztec Group.
Finance leadership, AI in the workflow, people in the lead.
A finance executive who has put AI into the operating model.
Anna leads finance for the Private Equity and Fund of Funds asset classes at Aztec Group (roughly €600 billion in assets under administration across six jurisdictions) and is the AI lead across group functions. The day-to-day is the operating reality of fund administration at scale; the second shift is the practical engineering of AI inside a regulated finance function.
In practice the remit runs across three tracks: a company-wide AI literacy programme designed by function; coaching teams at internal hackathons; and leading an AI Council focused on operational automation and optimisation.
In a room of finance executives, she speaks AI. In a room of AI builders, she speaks finance. Most rooms need both fluencies. The work runs across her own function and the advisory engagements where boards and CFOs are taking on the same.
What she leads is change management under AI. AI arrives in a quarter. Teams rewire over years.
Three areas of work, held in steady proportion.
i.Finance leadership in private capital.
Owning the close, the controls, and the executive narrative for two asset classes whose reporting rhythms move on different clocks.
ii.AI and operational transformation.
Moving AI from the strategy deck into the operating model: use case selection, the AI Impact Assessment, data residency, and onboarding teams to a defensible baseline.
iii.People, operating model, and team design.
Coverage models, role architecture, and the quiet redesign of how work moves between functions. Less a reorg, more a rewiring.
A line of contact.
For CFO and Head of Finance roles, AI advisory engagements, or board work, and the occasional question worth answering.
